This year the media has been flooded with stories this about how AI is going to revolutionise the workplace and take over the world.

 

Advances in deep learning have started a revolution that is transforming the business world. Applications in speech recognition, self-driving cars and publicity around systems such Alpha Go and ChatGPT have ignited interest from the public, academia and industry.

 

Now a special one-day workshop hosted by the University of Salford next month can help you get to the truth about AI and learn how it could benefit your business.

 

The three-hour workshop, AI and Deep learning for Innovation and Process Improvement, on June 28 will introduce AI and deep learning methods and the benefits of using AI more broadly for innovation and improving operational processes.

 

Managing directors, technical specialists, directors, lead engineers, operational directors who are interested in learning about the potential applications of AI and Deep learning to improve processes in their organisations will all find the workshop useful.

 

Professor Sunil Vadera, of the University of Salford, who will lead the event, said: “AI is only just getting going and its impact is still to be fully realised and felt. This gives businesses that are early adopters a huge chance to get ahead of the competition and really harness the productivity boost that using AI in the right way can give.

 

“Our event will really dig into this technology and give you unique insights into this emerging technology.”

 

This session will introduce AI and how it can benefit your business. It will begin with an introduction to AI and deep learning methods and will be followed by a selection of indicative applications of deep learning methods such as taking images, text or multimedia as input, learning to identify key features and perform classification.

 

AI and Deep learning for Innovation and Process Improvement takes place on June 28 from 10am to 13:00pm in the NERIC building, University of Salford.
