Manchester-based eLearning organisation, eLearning Plus+, is working with leading law firm Slater Heelis to develop a training strategy that underpins its overall business and HR objectives. Slater Heelis decided to invest in its learning and development strategy to fulfil its people development objectives and support the firm’s business goals.

The training strategy has helped to identify and target the real learning needs and capability requirements across the firm of solicitors. This then led to the development of a focused programme of learning delivery that reinforces its positive people culture, alongside the ongoing commitment to the development of its colleagues.

On working with eLearning Plus+, Slater Heelis, Head of HR, Phil Rimmer commented: “The objective was to introduce a consistent and customised programme of learning that could be easily accessed across the firm, at all levels.  In addition to creating legal and non-legal pathways to support role development and role transition, eLearning Plus+ has also developed an Induction and Onboarding module and a Career Development module to underpin the launch of the forthcoming Slater Heelis Academy.”

Phil continued: “eLearning Plus+ helped us understand the real skills, capabilities, and people performance we needed to achieve our business goals and aspirations. Once we had our strategic learning agenda, eLearning Plus+ then designed the learning delivery programmes in a way that meets the needs of individual learners as well as the business, both now and into the future. The team is a pleasure to work with and very knowledgeable, and I would highly recommend them as they will certainly add value to any organisation.”

Terry Simmons, CEO of eLearning Plus+, added: “It’s been a huge pleasure helping Slater Heelis drive their learning forward. Their ambition is to develop award-winning learning delivery, and it’s exciting to be supporting them on this journey. From the early stages of running focus groups and workshops through to developing the capability requirements and learning pathways, it’s been a fantastic, collaborative journey with exciting challenges, which we’ve enjoyed helping to solve along the way.”
