Lee Dinsdale, Managing Director of Logros Advisory Partners explains more about why, how and what they are doing to help ambitious business owners achieve results.
Lee Dinsdale is an accredited coach, NLP Master and trained hypnotherapist. He was previously a chartered Private Client Investment manager, now completing an MBA and is Managing Director of Logros Advisory Partners which develops Leaders and works in partnerships to provide finance to Entrepreneurial, ambitious and purpose led SMEs who are committed to transforming, growing and scaling for a sustainable future.

And tell us more about your background
After graduating from University with an Economics degree, I became a chartered Private Client and Investment Manager, starting my career in 1999 for Brewin Dolphin the largest UK private client stockbroker and in 2011 moved to Barclays Wealth and Investment Management to become a private banker.
In 2014 I decided to leave the finance industry, refocusing my sense of purpose I began to work solely in the Not-For-Profit sector and became a Director of North West Media, a local social value enterprise providing accredited creative media courses for young people at its New Talent Academy followed by training at Unity Radio at Media City an FM radio station. We design these programmes to create transformational changes in young people by improving wellbeing, focusing on closing the gap on core human needs such as feelings of safety, recognition, belonging and capability. This enables better choices for the future which is the essence of all coaching and is how we designed The Logros Leadership system
Being a Director of a social value business that is a responsible leader in the community means I understand sustainability and fully immersed in the ‘social’ element of ESG. It also provides all round business exposure, empathy and resilience to the real daily challenges that business owner’s face.
Why did you set up Logros Advisory Partners
I was already integrating coaching with clients during my wealth management career and at Unity Radio by creating a positive environment for vulnerable young people to thrive it developed an in-depth understanding of human performance. In 2017 I was concerned about social media whipping up a frenzy that we must talk about mental health but it was offering limited solutions so I was thinking about the best way to help. Coincidentally, I was watching the box set ´Billions’ where the main assertive, alphamale protagonist Axe had a personal coach who was his sounding board. This meant coaches could now be seen as a positive force rather than a perceived threat to underperformance and ‘ego’ resulting in resistance in hiring a performance coach. Today, I think the younger generation of business owners are becoming more open to understanding that coaching gets you to where you want to go quicker. It´s fully accepted in the sportworlds, C-suite but there still remains resistance that lingers in the SME world due to perceived loss of control, they actually don’t want to be accountable or a lack of understanding of the value.
And now you are including providing finance
Yes, having come from a finance background it was only a matter of time. Finance and people are two key resources that need to be developed to help innovation enabling a competitive advantage. We want to develop long term relationships and help SMEs build their business. By providing finance and the inclusion of our Leadership Coaching to support a business owner on their journey at no added cost to them we are now adding more value into the relationship compared to others just providing finance.
I have also just started my dissertation for the MBA which is focusing on Sustainable Finance. Over the next six months research will be conducted into the link between sustainable finance, sustainable development and innovation. At the same time Logros Advisory Partners will narrow its focus to be seeking to work with companies who are adopting a sustainable approach

Having coached many business owners it’s evident the ultimate long term result as people get older is to have peace of mind, a sense of freedom and a legacy. We work with the business owner with how their SME will help them achieve this.
Life is simply a relationship, whether it’s with yourself, other people or other things and the fortunes of an SME are tied to how the business owner conducts these relationships. The meaning we find in these relationships is ultimately all we are doing from one moment to the next and answers the question what is ‘the meaning of life’
