Greater Manchester Race Equality Panel – Employment Roundtable Discussion

On the 19th May, the Greater Manchester Race Equality Panel are holding a roundtable event, focussing on the issue of recruitment, retention and development of people experiencing racial inequalities. Held at the People’s History Museum, this event is suitable for business leaders, HR professionals and decisions makers from the private, statutory and third sector.
The event
Differing experiences in the workplace continue to be an issue for people. The Greater Manchester Race Equality Panel are organising this roundtable event to help everyone concerned understand the scale of the issues and take positive action.
Open and conversational, the event will allow business leaders and decision makers to share both the barriers and solutions to having a diverse and inclusive workforce. The event will feature business leaders who will share their experiences in tackling these issues, outlining both their successes and failures along the way.
This will be a half day event held in Manchester City Centre. Food and refreshments will be provided. This event is totally free.

The Greater Manchester Race Equality Panel
Commissioned by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), the Greater Manchester Race Equality Panel looks to advise, support and challenge political leaders and policy-makers, helping them make changes that benefit all Greater Manchester’s residents, particularly people experiencing racial inequalities. The Panel is made up of community leaders, professionals and people with a wealth of life experience in this field.
