Appleyard Lees partner raises over £5k for Mary’s Meals

David Walsh, partner at the Leeds office of intellectual property law firm Appleyard Lees, recently completed the Barcelona Ironman, raising a grand total of over £5,000 for Mary’s Meals.

Mary’s Meals provides hungry children in poor countries one meal every school day, feeding them but also encouraging their parents to send them to school, instead of to work.

Thanks to donations like these, Mary’s Meals now feeds over two million of the world’s poorest children, every day.

After completing the challenge in a respectful time of 11 hours 57 minutes, David said “I have to admit it was the hardest event I have ever done by some distance. Support and donations from clients, colleagues and friends have been so generous, I have been overwhelmed. It is going to make such a difference to so many children.”
