EXCLUSIVE WORKSPACE ROOF TERRACE TO LAUNCH AS BRUNTWOOD WORKS TRANSFORMS LANCASTRIAN

• Old Trafford’s only workspace roof terrace and garden to be unveiled

Bruntwood Works, a leading workspace and leisure provider, has kickstarted the transformation of Lancastrian in Old Trafford as it aims to enhance collaboration and work-life balance for its customers.

The project will transform the open-air roof terrace, providing an extensive, leafy space to accommodate social events and support collaboration, with beautiful views across the Lancashire Cricket County Club. It will also introduce an indoor lounge space designed to strengthen the sense of community for businesses located there. The lounge will include a workspace, informal meeting booths and refreshment station, and will open out onto the roof terrace. The transformation will also provide improved shower and bathroom facilities to help customers to fit exercise into their working day.

It follows increased demand from businesses for local offices, alongside their city centre workspaces, with more companies seeking a hub and spoke solution that incorporates a city centre HQ and a geographically distributed network of offices in the surrounding suburbs. This is alongside increased demand from businesses for workspaces with good transport links and close proximity to local amenities.

The building overlooks the Lancashire County Cricket Club, with its four distinct wings named after local cricketing legends Washbrook, Duckworth, MacLaren and Statham.

The news is the latest investment in the area, after Bruntwood Works completed the next phase of its transformation of Trafford House in December. Here, Bruntwood Works’ customers at Trafford House and Lancastrian have access to a state-of-the-art gym studio with virtual classes from the world-renowned Les Mills, cycle storage, shower and changing facilities.

It also follows the announcement that Bruntwood Works and Trafford Council are set to transform the former Kellogg’s site in Old Trafford, Stretford, into a vibrant new neighbourhood – Lumina Village – as part of their joint venture, which also includes the development of the Stamford Quarter in Altrincham as well as Stretford Mall.

Completion is due in summer 2021.
