The Northern Finance Director Awards are back for 2021, but with a twist.

The Northern Finance Director Awards are all about recognising and celebrating the exceptional talent of finance directors and their teams across the North of England. The awards embrace and celebrate all that is brilliant about this talented bunch of people, who are often the unsung heroes of any business.

As founding partners and ambassadors for this recognition of the finance community, and their essential role in the commercial success of the region, Squire Patton Boggs continue to support the awards, in partnership with Grant Thornton and Michael Page.

This year, we will be collating the Northern Finance Director Power List – a compilation of the finest financial talent in the region, ensuring everyone is recognised for their achievements, before winners are announced in October.

Nominee Criteria

• The FD will have been in post for at least one year by January 2021
• The term ‘Finance Director’ is the person with overall financial responsibility for the financial welfare of the business and not title specific.
• Head office based in the North of England – your business must have its registered head office or autonomous UK subsidiary of an overseas parent in the North of England.

It has been a challenging year for finance directors, and will continue to be so as we navigate our way back to normality. There has never been a more appropriate or deserved time to recognise the finance leaders of the North, and we look forward to celebrating their success.
