Please take a moment to read about George, maybe it will resonate with you?
George started his Furniture business in 2016 after years in the industry working for others. Initially it was working from a shed and then moving into their first premises in 2017. Turnover was c£250k with minimal profits.
George was the designer, salesman, warehouseman and manufacturing expert as well as looking after the financials, with his wife covering customer services and operational control. Workload was heavy and with a young family to care for, George and his wife were finding things extremely challenging.
In September 2018 George attended a Business Growth half day seminar run my myself in conjunction with NatWest
Jan 2021 George has now moved into larger premises and his wife is now able to spend less time in the business and more time with their children. Turnover has increased to c £1.5m with healthy margins and net profit. Significant partnerships have been developed and most processes have been automated. A general Manager has recently been recruited and George is part way through a bespoke personal development programme. The forecasts for the next 24 months reflect even greater growth. George now has more time with his family and is extremely confident about the future.
This is a true story; I have merely changed the name for confidentiality reasons. One example of the many business owners we at UKBM have helped since we started in 2009.
