The national Social Housing team at law firm Clarke Willmott LLP is celebrating after achieving impressive results in the latest Chambers UK 2021 Guide.
The team, which operates across all of Clarke Willmott’s seven regional offices, maintained Band 2 rankings in the South West and Wales and maintained Band 3 status in the North West and London.
In an improvement on last year’s results the Social Housing team rose from Band 3 to Band 2 in the ‘National Leaders Outside of London’ category for their UK-wide work.
The prestigious independent guide, which sets out the best firms and lawyers in the UK based on feedback from clients, also ranked Clarke Willmott’s Social Housing Finance team in Band 2 across the UK.
Seven partners were recognised as leaders in their field across 6 social housing categories, including the firm’s sector leadership team, consisting of partners Vicky Kells, Lindsay Felstead, Oliver Smedley and Kary Withers. Associate Natalie Pickford in the Manchester Housing Management team was named ‘Associate to Watch’.
Vicky Kells, who jointly heads up the sector alongside Lindsay Felstead, said: “The rankings are largely based on client feedback and demonstrate how our efficient, pragmatic and proactive approach is a real benefit to those we help.
“We are delighted to be recognised at such a high level by a respected industry directory and it is even better that some of our lawyers are named individually as among the best in the country.”
Lindsay Felstead said: “Our Social Housing team has gone from strength to strength in the last couple of years and these results, where we have either maintained or improved our rankings, are a fitting testament to that.
“This year we have seen an increase in instructions from retained and new clients as well an uplift in turnover.. The team will build on this good work and continue providing our clients with the high-quality service they have come to expect.”
Clarke Willmott LLP is a national law firm with seven offices across the country, including Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton and Taunton.
