Statement from Jason Elliott Head of Business Recovery at Cowgills re Grosvenor Windows

Six jobs have been saved after Jason Elliott, Craig Johns and Nick Brierley of Cowgills’ Business Recovery team were appointed as administrators to Grosvenor Windows on 5^th November. The business and assets have been sold for an undisclosed sum to a purchaser unconnected with the company and no redundancies have been made.

The glazing company, which is based on Crown Lane in Bolton, supplies and install windows as well as conservatories and orangeries and has been trading for over 40 years. It had recently suffered difficulties and the directors sought advice regarding the Company’s financial position. Cowgills traded the Company in administration for a further week whilst marketing the business and has continued to trade throughout the sale process.

Jason Elliott, Head of Business Recovery at Cowgills said: “Having liaised with a number of interested parties, we received a formal offer for the business and are delighted that this has resulted in all jobs being saved. We always try to achieve the best possible outcome with securing jobs being an absolute priority as well as ensuring the best result for creditors. As a result of the directors seeking early advice we have been able to save jobs and the business is under new ownership.  The new owners of the business are keen to build on the Grosvenor brand and its 40-year history and will continue to service its existing customers.”
