GP Bullhound acted as the exclusive financial advisor to INSITUM on its sale to Accenture Interactive.
INSITUM is the leading service design and strategic research firm in Latin America focused on innovation through a human-centered approach. Founded in 2003, it has 185 designers, researchers and strategists across Latin America, Europe and the US with its headquarters in Mexico City and additional studios in Barcelona, Bogota, Buenos Aires, Chicago, Lima and São Paulo. Selected clients include Uber, BBVA, Bimbo, Cemex, Roche, Bancolombia and several global technology companies.
The acquisition bolsters Accenture Interactive’s design and innovation unit, Fjord, by expanding its world-class services in Latin America, US, Europe and beyond. The combination of Fjord and INSITUM will enhance Accenture Interactive’s ability to create, build and run experiences that transform businesses and improve lives in the rapidly growing market of Latin America.
Luis Arnal, Partner and CEO of INSITUM said: “We are convinced that design is a key ingredient of innovation and a powerful tool to make the world a better place – truly successful companies know how to incorporate design thinking in everything they do. Being part of Accenture Interactive will allow us to integrate our expertise with new technologies and capabilities in order to multiply the value we deliver to our clients. GP Bullhound was an outstanding advisory partner to us, with their deep sector experience being instrumental in making this transaction a success.”
Claudio Alvarez, Partner at GP Bullhound commented: “INSITUM is one of the largest and most acclaimed innovation consultancies in Latin America. We are delighted to have been able to advise the company on its next phase of growth.”
The transaction is further testament to GP Bullhound’s market leading position advising on M&A in the Digital Services sector, with 20 transactions completed in the last 24 months including the sales of Oliver to You & Mr Jones, Namics to Merkle and Solita to Apax Digital, among many others.
