TLT has successfully completed the acquisition of the ‘Bounce’ brand – the UK’s number one energy ball – for gluten free food manufacturer Wholebake Limited.
Wholebake operates out of two BRC AA accredited manufacturing sites in North Wales and works with many of the leading brands in the health and sports nutrition categories, including its own seed and nut bar brand NINE and gluten free flapjack brand Brynmor.
The acquisition of Bounce will support Wholebake’s branded snack growth strategy as well as providing synergies across Bounce’s business in the UK and Europe.
The TLT team included partners Alastair Lomax and Peter Carney, solicitor Megan Elms and trainee solicitor Oliver Swain (banking and restructuring); partner Stuart Campbell, associate Alex Williamson and solicitor Grace Roddie (commercial); partner Ed Cotton (employment); partner Andy Bell and associate Ben Jackson (real estate).
Simon Faithfull, CEO at Wholebake, says: “We are really excited about the acquisition of the Bounce brand. It is a unique stand-out product in an expanding market, offering great taste and balanced nutrition to consumers, and we will be looking to invest in marketing and sales to support its growth.
“We are extremely grateful to the team at TLT for their expert and thorough advice throughout the transaction and their support in pushing through the deal in such short timescales. We are pleased with the outcome and really did feel like we were in the hands of the experts.”
Alastair Lomax, partner at TLT, says: “The nutritional foods category continues to go from strength to strength. There are some really successful brands in this market, creating some attractive opportunities for businesses that are looking to invest in their development and growth.
“High quality production and keeping up with the latest consumer trends is essential to ensuring the continued success of these brands. We are delighted to have completed this acquisition for Wholebake and wish them every success with Bounce.”
