Tech Returners offers free coding course  

Manchester based Tech Returners is offering a free programme for individuals who are passionate about a role in technology, whether that’s those returning to a career after a break, looking for a career change or those ready to start a career in tech and don’t know their next steps, this fully inclusive programme aims to break down those barriers and provide an accessible route into technology.

‘ Your Journey into Tech’ is a free programme of lectures, practical application and personal development held over a 15 week period, held in Manchester City Centre which prepares individuals for a career in software development.

The programme covers the fundamentals of software development, front -end and back-end development skills including test driven development, pair programming agile processes and problem solving techniques and the opportunity to learn JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Participants will also be introduced to APIs, Cloud terminology and skills, databases, serverless technologies and API development via NodeJS and the Express framework.

Additionally the programme provides the opportunity to put learning into action with the chance to create projects using new found knowledge and skills and prepares individuals for their future career with personal development training including CV writing, preparing for interview, advice on seeking roles within the tech industry and the opportunity to engage with a network of experts in the Tech Returners community.
